TRADITIONAL CRAFTS DEMONSTRATION

Art and Craft Collective recently took part in the Carrickmacross Festival, Liz Christy and Lousie Loughman both demonstrated their craft skills live in the Sulis Gallery. Locals and visitors to the town alike were appreciative of the chance to see first hand the traditional handweaving and silk painting crafts being demonstrated, and also to have the opportunity to try out these crafts for themselves. Both Liz and Lousie are currently running courses, in their Swallow studios , You can see the range of workshops/courses on offer at Sulis Design centre , or alternatively contact each artist through their own blog……

The Art & Craft Collective at Sulis would like to welcome you to our very first blog. New territory for us but here goes!

We are ten crazy artisans from the North East of Ireland, counties Monaghan, Cavan & Louth and we formed our collective in December 2008 when we launched our terrestrial gallery in Carrickmacross. Now we are launching ourselves in cyberspace. Welcome all!
